Seawolves Pound Fisher
SOUTH PORTLAND, ME – The Southern Maine Community College softball team pounded Fisher College 9-2 and 8-2 in a double header this afternoon. The Seawolves improve their record to 2-2 overall.
Shawnee Slattery pitched game one striking out eight batters and recorded her first collegiate win on the mound. Freshman third baseman, Shelby Moore went 3-4 with one double and one triple. The Seawolves tallied 14 hits for the game.
Game two of the afternoon was more of the same. Junior Kim Hunt recorded the win and the Seawolves had their bats going again with 13 hits, two doubles and one triple. Freshman Shawnee Slattery went 3-4 with three runs.
Next up the Seawolves take on YSCC foe NHTI on Saturday, Sept. 25. The double-header will begin at 12-noon.
