Softball Opens Conference Play with Win Over Central Maine CC

In their first official game of the season, the Seawolves beat Central Maine Community College 4-1.  SMCC led 2-1 after the first inning.  Freshman third baseman Alyssa Payne (Lawrenceville, GA) had a big game offensively bringing in a run and scoring one in the first inning.  She then drove in sophomore Jamie Moody (Cumberland, ME) with a triple in the fifth.  

Freshman pitcher Emily Bard (Fort Kent, ME) had another strong performance pitching a two-hitter that included five strikeouts over six innings. 

The Seawolves are in action again this Saturday when they travel to NHTI.
