Seawolves Defeat Unity College

SOUTH PORTLAND, ME – The Southern Maine Community College women’s team beat YSCC opponent Unity College 83-27 this afternoon. The women’s record improves to 5-2 within conference play and 8-11 overall.

The Seawolves used a 27-0 run to open up the game and to help take the lead at halftime 35-11.  The Seawolves never looked back out scoring the Ram’s by 32 points in the second half.  Leading the charge for the Seawolves was freshman Christina Ricci scoring 19 points, pulling in 11 boards, and handing out four assists. Freshman teammate Jessica Truman chipped in with 13 points, 5 assist, and 5 steals.

The Seawolves return to action tomorrow as they take on YSCC opponent Vermont Technical College at 12-noon.
