Seawolves defeat Lady Knights
SOUTH PORTLAND, ME – The Southern Maine Community College Seawolves defeated YSCC opponent Vermont Technical College Knights, 72-62. With the win the Seawolves improve to 6-2 within conference play and 9-11 overall.
SOUTH PORTLAND, ME – The Southern Maine Community College Seawolves defeated YSCC opponent Vermont Technical College Knights, 72-62. With the win the Seawolves improve to 6-2 within conference play and 9-11 overall.
The Seawolves led for most of the game, but the Lady Knights would not go away and kept the game close. The Seawolves pulled away at the end with the help of freshman guard, Christina Ricci, who scored 31 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Teammates, Esther Palmieri and Alisa Sweet, chipped in with 17 points and 16 points respectively. Leading the way for the Lady Knights was Eliza Wakefield with 24 points and 19 rebounds.
The Seawolves are back in action on January 27 when the Moose of the University of Maine- Augusta come to the HUB gymnasium for some YSCC conference play.
