Women split at Can-Am Tournament
AUBURN, ME - The SMCC women's team split this weekend at the Can-Am Tournament. The women dropped game one 67-36 to St. Thomas and beat Nova Scotia 71-61 in game two. The women's current record is 1-1 on the season.
AUBURN, ME - The SMCC women's team split this weekend at the Can-Am Tournament. The women dropped game one 67-36 to St. Thomas and beat Nova Scotia 71-61 in game two. The women's current record is 1-1 on the season.
In game one, the Tommies defense proved to much for the Seawolves to handle as they turned the ball over 28 times. Leading all scores for the Seawolves was freshman guard Christina Ricci with nine points while sophomore forward Alisa Sweet added eight points and eight rebounds.
In game two against the Rams of Nova Scotia the Seawolves turned on the defensive pressure forcing 25 Ram turnovers. High scorer for the Seawovles was freshman post player Ariel LeDuc with 20 point and 10 rebounds recording her first double-double of the season. Teammates Christina Ricci and Alisa Sweet added 17and 15, respectively.
The Seawolves host Nashua Community College for their home opener on Thursday, November 4th at 6:00pm.
