Seawolves Take Home the Title

SOUTH PORTALND, ME – The Southern Maine Community College women took down the number one seed Central Maine Community College 76-67 in the Championship game of the Yankee Small College Conference Final Four hosted by SMCC. 

This afternoon was a true team effort from the Seawolves with all seven players scoring.  Leading the charge was freshman Christina Ricci with 24 points.  Freshman teammate Jessica Truman chipped in with 21 points.  Both ladies also were recognized as YSCC Tournament MVP and Best Offensive Player, respectively. 

The SMCC women will now head to USCAA National Tournament in Uniontown, PA. The USCAA Tournament will Begin on Tuesday, March 1st.
