Benson Receives National Player of the Week Honors

Southern Maine Community College freshman Katelyn Benson (Westbrook, ME) was selected as the United States Athletic Association (USCAA) Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Benson scored 24 points on 11 of 15 shooting in the Seawolves 88-47 victory over Naval Academy Prep School. Benson also pulled down 9 rebounds and tallied 2 steals in 27 minutes of play. The SMCC Seawolves have begun the season 2-1.
