Athletics is an important and exciting part of student life at Southern Maine Community College. The athletics program is an outstanding recruiting tool for the college and engages student-athletes on a deeper level to boost the highest retention rates of any student population at SMCC. The SeaWolves have a long tradition of success and strive to be one of the premier small college athletic programs in New England. The SeaWolves varsity teams have won more than 40 conference championships while competing regionally and on the national stage. The athletics staff is committed to providing the finest community college athletic experience through quality instruction, exceptional facilities, and competitive schedules.
SMCC sponsors seven intercollegiate sports; three for women, three for men, and one co-ed offering (golf). The fall sports lineup includes men’s and women’s soccer and golf.
