About the Sports Information Office

The Southern Maine Community College Athletics Sports Information Office is responsible for promoting and publicizing the College's intercollegiate athletic programs while providing accurate and timely information to media members, opponents, fans, and the campus community.

Services provided by the Sports Information Office include:

  • Statistical reporting and record maintenance
  • Photography and multimedia content

Student-Athlete Information Form

All new and returning student-athletes should complete the Student-Athlete Information Form.

Information submitted through this form is used to build and update roster profiles, athlete bios, hometown information, academic achievements, and other content featured across SMCC Athletics platforms. Please provide as much detail as possible to help accurately represent your accomplishments and background.

Live Stats & Broadcast Information

Live statistics and streaming links for home contests will be available through the schedule page for each sport when provided.

Media Credential Requests

Members of the media wishing to cover an SMCC Athletics event should contact the Sports Information Office at least 24 hours prior to the event.

Credential requests should include:

  • Name
  • Media outlet
  • Assignment information
  • Contact information

Photography & Videography Policy

Professional photographers, videographers, and media organizations must receive approval from the Sports Information Office before covering an athletic contest.

Approved photographers and videographers must:

  • Remain clear of team bench areas
  • Avoid interfering with game officials or event staff
  • Follow all instructions from game management personnel
  • Remain outside restricted competition areas unless otherwise authorized

SMCC Athletics reserves the right to restrict access or revoke credentials for safety concerns or policy violations.

Media Liability Notice

Individuals photographing, filming, or covering athletic events assume all risk associated with being present at athletic contests, including risks from balls, equipment, participants, or other game-related activities.

Southern Maine Community College assumes no responsibility for injuries or property damage incurred while covering athletic events.

Visiting Sports Information Directors

Visiting Sports Information Directors seeking assistance with statistics, broadcasts, game notes, photography, or postgame materials should contact the Sports Information Office prior to arrival.

SMCC Athletics will make every effort to accommodate reasonable requests and provide postgame statistics and related materials in a timely manner.
