Sloan Scotvold, Softball
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — Southern Maine Community College softball standout Sloan Scotvold (Red Deer, Alberta, Canada) has been named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season following another dominant stretch in the circle for the Seawolves.
Scotvold went 5-0 across five appearances during the week, compiling 29.2 innings with 34 strikeouts while posting a 2.12 ERA and 1.08 WHIP. Her week included a one-hit shutout against Mitchell College along with a complete game victory featuring double-digit strikeouts against Central Maine Community College.
In addition to her success during the week, Scotvold surpassed the 100-career strikeout milestone and increased her season strikeout total to 72.
At the plate, Scotvold also contributed offensively, recording five hits, five RBI, and eight runs scored over six games.
The honor marks Scotvold’s second USCAA Pitcher of the Week selection of the 2025-26 season to go along with a previous YSCC Player of the Week recognition.
