Concord, NH - Tonight the Seawolves took the court at New Hampshire Technical Institute for YSCC quarterfinal action against the Golden Eagles of Eastern Maine CC. The Seawolves took a commanding 19 point lead at the halftime break aand despite being outscored by two points in the second half, the Seawolves were able to pull away with the 77-60 win.

Randolph Center, VT - This afternoon's men's basketball matchup between SMCC and Vermont Technical College started out in a way that noone would've expected. After twenty minutes of play the Seawolves had put up only 13 points, their lowest offensive performance in a half in the 2014-15 season, as they trailed the Knights 17-13 going into the break.

South Portland - HUB gymnasium was packed and the crowd was roaring as the Seawolves took the floor against the Mustangs of CMCC for their final home game of the 2014-15 season. Picking up a win would mean the Seawolves would go a perfect 14-0 in conference play but games against CMCC are guaranteed to be tough. In the first meeting of the rivals the Seawolves picked up a one point win at the buzzer when Jordan DeRsosby (Waterville, ME) converted on a three from deep in the corner. The second meeting would be a little different however, the Seawolves jumped out to a 7-0 lead and maintained that lead for the entire 40 minutes, eventually picking up the 90-74 win.

South Portland - In last nights' YSCC men's basketball action three point shooting turned into the games' difference maker. The teams were even in nearly every category; both teams made 19 free throws, the rebound margin was 34-33, the assist (14-12) and turnover (15-13) categories were separated by just two, all categories in favor of Machias. However, the Seawolves connected on seven shots from downtown while the Clippers were unable to hit any (0-13).

South Portland - Freshman center Carlos Gonzalez (Lewiston, ME) scored a game high 31 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, which included 10 offensive boards, to lead the Seawolves to a commanding 62-63 victory over the Lynx off New Hampshire Technical Institute.

South Portland - A dismal Seawolves' shooting effort in the first half, 8% from the three point line and 26% from the floor, would be the team's demise against a very talented Dean College team in last nights men's basketball action. The Seawolves were chasing a fourteen point lead at the break so despite outscoring the Bulldogs in second half action, they could not overcome the first half deficit as they fell to the Bulldogs, 82-70.

South Portland - This afternoon the Golden Eagles of EMCC made a valiant effort as they competed against the talented 14 person Seawolves' roster with only five eligible players. Despite being outscored 48-29 in the first half the Eagles were able to bounce back in the second, getting outscored by just two points, 45-43 in the second half. The Seawolves shot an impressive 48% from the floor while going 30% from beyond the three point line as they picked up the 92-71 victory.

South Portland - The size and depth of Seawolves was too much for UMaine-Augusta to handle in tonight's men's conference basketball action. SMCC outrebounded UMA 54-42, and the Seawolves bench outscored the Moose 41-4, en route to a commanding 95-68 victory.

South Portland - This afternoon the two remaining undefeated YSCC men's basketball teams, SMCC and the College of St. Joseph's (VT), squared off at the Hutchinson Union Building. The Seawolves opened the game with 13 unanswered points to take a 13-0 lead just three minutes into first half action. The Saints would eventually find their offense but they were unable to get any closer than seven for the remainder of the contest, as the Seawolves rolled to a comfortable 102-82 victory.

South Portland - The Seawolves opened up the new year in winning fashion as they downed the Knights of Northern Essex CC by a score of 79-68 in tonight's men's basketball action. The Seawolves were able to use their depth and a balanced scoring attack, putting 12 players in the scorebook, to overcome the Knights.

South Portland - This afternoon the Seawolves, ranked number one in the first USCAA coaches poll that was released on Friday, faced off against the number three ranked Knights of Central Penn College. Trailing 82-79 with under 30 seconds to play in regulation, Seawolves' shooting guard Kevin Fabian (Lawrence, MA) nailed a three, one of five for the game, with five seconds remaining to send the game into overtime. In overtime the Seawolves secured a one point advantage, 92-91, on an Atencio Martin (Kittery, ME) layup with 4.8 seconds remaining but an offensive rebound and putback as time expired by the Knights' Dominique Twiggs would give Central Penn the 93-92 overtime win.

South Portland - This afternoon the Seawolves, currently ranked number one in the YSCC east, battled against the number three Clippers of UMaine-Machias. Both teams were sporting spotless conference records entering today's contest but after 40 hard fought minutes the Seawolves handed the Clippers a 90-77 loss.
