Perfect 10: Seawolves Battle Past PSC 77-66
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — The Southern Maine Community College men’s basketball team saw four players in double digits in a 77-66 conference win over Paul Smith’s College on Saturday night, extending its winning streak to 10 games.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The frist half opened with back-and-forth scoring. Sean Bosia (Dracut, Mass.) opened the scoring with a jump shot and followed by a fast break dunk off a Sam DeWitt (Hudson, N.H.) assist. Chance Mercier (Ellsworth, Maine) added a pair of baskets to put the game 10-7 at the 15:13 mark. Dewitt entered the scoring column midway through the first half with a three to pull the Seawolves ahead 22-24. SMCC maintained a tightly contested lead for most of the opening half with a 30-26 edge heading into the break.

The second half opened with a 6-2 Seawolf run lead by Ellis Macea (Lawrence, Mass.). Paul Smith's College struggled to keep pace as Bosia found Mercier for a basket to extend the lead to double digits with 15 minutes remaining. The Bobcats chipped away at the margin breifly closing the gap before Franck Moron (Billerica, Mass.) recorded a steal and converted another fast break layup to reinstate the SeaWolves a double-digit lead. Minutes later, Ben Mullett (Hudson, N.H.) added big steal and layup allowing the Seawolves to maintain momentum. Both teams traded points for the reminder of the contest with a DeWitt free throw being the final dagger in a 77-66 decision.
