SARANAC LAKE, N.Y. – The Southern Maine Community College golf team placed first at the Paul Smith’s Invitational on Saturday, posting a 306 at Saranac Inn Golf & Country Club.
SARANAC LAKE, N.Y. – The Southern Maine Community College golf team placed first at the Paul Smith's Invitational on Saturday, posting a 306 at Saranac Inn Golf & Country Club.
The Seawolves finished nine strokes clear of runner-up University of Maine at Augusta (315). New Hampshire Technical Institute (342), Paul Smith's College A (367), and Kennebec Valley Community College (375) completed the top five.
FOR THE SEAWOLVES (MEN):
- Sophomore Will Farschon shot a 73 (+1) to place 2nd overall.
- Junior Matthew Quigley (77, +5) and sophomore Tuck Walker (77, +5) tied for 4th.
- Senior Chris Keene (79, +7) finished 7th.
- Sophomore Drew Goulet (81, +9) secured 8th.
FOR THE SEAWOLVES (WOMEN):
- Freshman Charlotte Blanchard (87, +15) finished 13th overall.
- Sophomore Alexis McCormick (88, +16) placed 14th.
- Senior Grace Thompson (91, +19) tied for 18th.

SMCC returns to action at the St. Joseph's College Invitational (John Queenan Memorial Tournament) at Point Sebago on Wednesday September 3rd.
