Machias - This afternoon the Clippers of the University of Maine - Machias maintained their spotless record as they defeated the Seawolves by a score of 3-1.
The Clippers found their way on to the scoreboard quickly, striking for the first time only two minutes into the game. They followed up with their second goal a mere ten minutes later to put UMM on top 2-0. The Seawolves cut into the lead when forward Wadhah Al-Shammari (Portland, ME) buried the ball in the back of the net off an assist from forward Jack Carter (Saco,ME) at the thirty-five minute mark. Trailing 2-1 at the half the Seawolves played even with Clippers for thirty minutes until the Clippers found a way to get their third goal past Seawolves' goalie Spencer Hoyt (Rochester, NH) to solidify their 3-1 victory.
