SeaWolves Smack Herons To Win A YSCC Pair
PORTSMOUTH, N.H.— The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) softball team took both from the Herons of Great Bay Community College in a Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) doubleheader in New Hampshire on Saturday, Apr. 21.
PORTSMOUTH, N.H.— The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) softball team took both from the Herons of Great Bay Community College in a Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) doubleheader in New Hampshire on Saturday, Apr. 21.
The Lady SeaWolves cut both games short to go up by double digit runs after the fifth inning. Sophomore Kristen Mackenzie (Seabrook, N.H.) recorded the win, her ninth of the season, by way of an 11-1 rout in the first game.
Teammate Sarah Guimond (East Waterboro, Maine) followed with a dominate performance in game two to get her sixth win of her sophomore season backed by 16 runs from the SMCC offense.

SMCC improves to 16-14 overall and jumps to 5-3 in conference action. Great Bay remains winless at 0-12 overall, 0-4 YSCC.
Next, the SeaWolves travel to Massasoit Community College on Tuesday, Apr. 24 for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m.
