HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Mustangs struck first with a run in the opening inning, but the Seawolves rallied in the fifth when Carly Youngblood (Tracy, New Brunswick) ripped a two-run double. Sloan Scotvold (Red Deer, Alberta, Canada) added a pair of RBI doubles, and Emma Hartt (Edmonton, Alberta) chipped in with a run-scoring single to push SMCC in front.
Central Maine tied the game with two runs in the seventh, but SMCC delivered the final blow in the eighth when Hart (Albion, Maine) produced a sacrifice fly to center field allowing Cross to score.
In the circle, Sloan Scotvold went the distance, allowing just one earned run over 8.0 innings while striking out three.

GAME TWO
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Seawolves carried their momentum into game two, exploding for 18 runs on 15 hits to earn a 18-6 win in five innings and complete the sweep. SMCC scored in every inning, including a six-run second and another six-spot in the third to put the game out of reach early.
Myranda Caddy (Lacombe, Alberta) led the offensive surge with a perfect 3-for-3 effort, driving in five runs with two doubles and a triple. Carly Youngblood added a home run and two RBIs, while Ella Voth (Lacombe, Alberta, Canada) went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs. Mackenzie McAvoy scored four times, stole three bases, and added two hits, and Ariana Cross (Orrington, Maine) crossed the plate four times with two hits and a stolen base.
In the circle, Cassidy Dunham (Keene, N.H.) earned the win with 4.2 innings of work, allowing two earned runs and striking out two.
