Seawolves Drop Game One to Bay Path

HOW IT HAPPENED
After three scoreless innings, SMCC broke through in the fourth when Jayden Tripp (Prospect, Maine) laid down a sacrifice bunt to score Ariana Cross (Orrington, Maine) and give the Seawolves a 1-0 lead.
Bay Path answered in the fifth, using a wild pitch and a three-run home run from Madison Sunderland to take a 4-1 advantage.
The Seawolves responded immediately in the bottom half. Ella Voth (Lacombe, Alberta, Canada) drove in Emma Hartt (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) on a fielder's choice, Drea Rideout (Yarmouth, Maine) followed with an RBI triple, and Cross added an RBI single to tie the game at 4-4.
Bay Path regained the lead in the sixth on a sacrifice fly, and SMCC could not push across the tying run over the final two innings.
