Seawolves Improve to 7-3 in Conference Play

Unity, ME. The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's basketball team earned another Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) win tonight with a 72-21 victory over Unity College. A balanced scoring attack and intense defense kept the Seawolves in control the entire forty minutes.  

SMCC had a balanced offense as 9 of the 10 players score. To lead the Seawolves was junior captain Esther Palmieri (South Portland, ME) who had 16 points. Freshman point guard Tiana Burton (Brunswick, ME) tallied 12 points while freshman forward Nyalieb Deng (Portland, ME) chipped in 11 points.

SMCC improves to 13-7 overall and 7-3 in conference play. The Seawolves are back in action this Saturday February 2nd as they host Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) opponent University of Maine Machias (UMM). Game time is scheduled for 2:00PM.
