Seawolves Drop Road Contest at CMCC
AUBURN, Maine — The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women’s basketball team fell on the road to undefeated Central Maine CC on Wednesday night, dropping a 94–64 decision in Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) play. The loss moves the Seawolves to 6–4 overall and 3–2 in conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SMCC opened the game with energy, scoring the first six points and holding CMCC without a field goal for nearly four minutes. A late-quarter burst allowed the Seawolves to take a 14–7 lead after the first.
The second quarter shifted the momentum. CMCC found their rythem and capitalized on SMCC turnovers to outscore the Seawolves 35–14 in the frame, leaving the score at the break 42–28.
Ashley Mullen (Oakland, Maine) knocked down a pair of threes and SMCC put together a strong offensive stretch in the third—scoring 26 points—but CMCC continued converting inside and extended its advantage to 67–54 heading into the fourth.
CMCC maintained control the rest of the way, closing out a 94–64 final.
