Triple Digits: Mullen Hits 100th Career Three in Win Over WOLBI

HOW IT HAPPENED
Sophomore guard Ashley Mullen (Oakland, Maine) set the tone early with a pair of free throws and one of three first quarter triples while freshman guard Mckenna Johnson (Gardiner, Maine) collected an early finish at the rim. The Seawolves forced turnovers and capitalized in transition and jumped out to a 23-10 first-quarter lead.
The Seawolves continued to apply pressure in the second. Taylor Renna (Pembroke, N.H.) knocked down a three, Milo Seams (South Paris, Maine) finished in transition. Jade Trueman (Sanbornville, N.H.) grabbed seven boards in the quarter while also adding six points. SMCC held Word of Life to 11 points in the quarter and carried a 38-21 advantage into halftime.
The third saw Mullen drilling another three triples in the period. SMCC's defensive pressure limited Word of Life to six points in the quarter, pushing the lead to 59-27.
The fourth quarter was the milestone quarter for Mullen. With 4:42 remaining in the game, Mullen hit her 7th three of the night securing 100 career made three pointers. Renna continued to add baskets, while Skyler Tinker (Trescott Twp., Maine) finished through contact. SMCC sealed the final frame to seal a 48-point victory.
