SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—At the conclusion of the semester, Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Interim Director of Athletics Ethan Wells published the findings of the semi-annual Spring 2025 Athletics Engagement and Academic Report. The report shows student-athlete GPAs and retention rates based on United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) normal progress rules for athletic participation eligibility—a higher threshold than those standards of the College.

CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Athletic Department held its annual awards banquet on Tuesday, May 6 at Purpoodock Golf Club in celebration of its student-athletes and their many successes throughout the 2024-25 academic year and athletic seasons.

Women’s Volleyball finishes season with first national tournament appearance

UNIONTOWN, Penn. – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women’s volleyball team earned an at-large bid to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Div. 2 National Tournament for the first time in program history. The tournament was held at Penn State University- Fayette with pool play spanning Nov. 7-8.

Lady Seawolves sweep regular season series with CMCC

AUBURN, Maine – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women’s volleyball team traveled to the Mustangs of Central Maine Community College (CMCC) in a Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) matchup on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

UMFK lands 3-1 win over SMCC

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women’s volleyball team suffered only its second loss of the season on Sunday, Oct 6, to USCAA Div. 1 University of Maine at Fort Kent (UMFK).

Women’s Volleyball finishes road trip with convincing win

ALBANY, N.Y. – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women’s volleyball team dueled the Panthers of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) in Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) action on Sunday, Sept. 29.

POTTERSVILLE, N.Y. – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women’s volleyball team secured a victory, 3-1, over Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) member Word of Life Bible Institute (WOLBI) on Saturday, Sept. 28.

Women’s Volleyball suffers first loss

POTTERSVILLE, N.Y. – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women’s volleyball team lost their first match of the season, 3-2, against Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) opponent Paul Smith’s College (PSC) on Saturday, Sept. 28.
