Seawolves Surge Past Great Bay in Straight Sets

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Seawolves dominated from the opening serve, rolling through the first two sets behind great serving and efficient attacking. SMCC opened with a 25–5 first-set statement and followed with a 25–9 win in the second.
Great Bay found thier rhythm in the third, challenging SMCC in the longest frame of the night, but the Seawolves closed it out 25–22 to complete the sweep.
BY THE NUMBERS:
- Meryk Lewellen (Gorham, Maine) was fantastic at the line, finishing with seven aces and three kills.
- Sivan Semo (Rollinsford, N.H.) and Elise Kaplan (Cumberland, Maine) each tallied six kills, while Mikayla Bellman (Silver Spring, Md.) added six of her own.
- Allison Fraser (Harrington, Maine) and Yana Montell (Gardiner, Maine) combined for 13 assists.
- Dalia Nelson (Kennebunk, Maine) and Kadie Madera (Sanford, Maine) combined for 21 digs.
- SMCC hit .299 as a team.
