Abdul and Montan Named SeaWolves of the Week
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine— First-year Kaylah Abdul (South Berwick, Maine) and sophomore Edgar Montan (Santiago, Dominican Republic) were named SeaWolves of the Week on Monday, April 24.
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine— First-year Kaylah Abdul (South Berwick, Maine) and sophomore Edgar Montan (Santiago, Dominican Republic) were named SeaWolves of the Week on Monday, April 24.
Abdul, of the softball team, led the Lady SeaWolves to a 5-1 record last week with wins over Massasoit Community College, New Hampshire Technical Institute, and Dean College. Abdul hit .500 (12-24) in six games from the four-hole. The shortstop continues to lead the Yankee Small College Conference in batting average, home runs, and RBI’s. Eight of her 12 hits were for extra bases, featuring her third and fourth home runs of the season.

Montan, of the baseball team, collected five hits in 11 at bats (.455) and delivered five RBI’s last week to fuel two SeaWolves’ wins. The utility man worked five walks and an on base percentage of .625.
