2021 Golf Schedule Announced

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine— Head Coach AJ Burton will begin his first season at the helm of the SeaWolves golf program ahead of a 7-match Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) schedule.

Having played in the Maine Amputee Open earlier this month, SMCC will use two alumni mini matches to finish its preseason and as a final tune-up before traveling to Loudon Country Club (Loudon, N.H.) on Sept. 4 to begin conference competition.

The SeaWolves will repeat at Loudon the following weekend, part of an overnight back-to-back at Montague Golf Club (Randolph, V.T.) on Sept. 11-12. The team gets back to action for another YSCC match, this one welcomed by the University of Maine at Augusta, before playing host to their own at Purpoodock Golf Club (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) on Sept. 26.

SMCC will hit the links at Pease Golf Course (Portsmouth, N.H.) on Oct. 2 in preparation to return two weeks later for a 12:00 p.m. tee time, this time for the YSCC Championships.

Should the SeaWolves qualify to attend, the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) two-round National Tournament is scheduled at Penn State University for Oct. 10-11.

Coach Burton commented, “Following the one-year hiatus, this team is itching to play competitive golf. I look forward to welcoming back Sam and Robert, and a talented group of incoming freshmen, for what has the makings of a successful season ahead. To create an environment of internal competition with the chance at a variety of courses will prepare us to play our best golf to finish the year at Pease.”
