BRIDGTON, Maine— The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's soccer team fell to the Wolverines from Bridgton Academy 6-3 on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
The Wolverines, who compete in the New England Preparatory circuit, put away six goals against a SMCC defense that hadn't allowed more than two in a game all season.
The SeaWolves managed three goals, two as a result from free kicks and the other by way of a penalty. Sophomore Yaroslav Philbrook (Chernigov, Ukraine) scored his second of the season, Jonathan Mukwa (Portland, Maine) his first as a SeaWolf, and sophomore Hansen Casey (Eliot, Maine) his team-leading fourth.
First-year goalkeeper Camden Labrecque (Saco, Maine) totaled eight saves in his 90-minute effort.
SMCC slips to 4-2-2 overall.
The SeaWolves are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 29 in a non-conference match vs. the Knights from the Community College of Rhode Island (1-2). Kick off at Wainwright Recreation Complex is set for 3 p.m. LIVE STATS.
