Softball On Opposite Ends Of A Shutout in Spring Opener

TITUSVILLE, Fl.—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) softball team split in its first 2018 spring play date defeating Northland Community and Technical College (Minn.) 11-0 as part of the morning slate. The SeaWolves were shutout in the latter of the double dip 9-0 by Spoon River College (Ill.) on Sunday, Mar. 11.

The Lady Wolves stand 5-3 overall and 1-1 at Cocoa Beach Spring Training.

SMCC will turnaround to face two teams from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) circuit in Minnesota on Monday, Mar. 12. The SeaWolves will get Central Lakes College at 8:30 a.m. and Itasca Community College for a 1:30 p.m. start time.
