CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine— The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Athletics Department held its annual awards banquet on Monday, May 9 at Purpoodock Golf Club in celebration of its student-athletes and their many successes throughout the 2021-22 academic year and athletic seasons.
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—At the conclusion of the semester, Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Director of Athletics Matt Richards published the findings of the semi-annual Fall 2021 Athletics Engagement and Academic Report. The report shows student-athlete GPAs and retention rates based on United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) normal progress rules for athletic participation eligibility—a higher threshold than those standards of the College.
CONCORD, N.H.—The #4 Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women’s volleyball team was defeated in three straight sets to the eventual Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) champion #1 Bobcats from Paul Smith’s College (PSC) in the semifinal round of the tournament on Sunday, Oct. 17.
