Women’s Volleyball Set For 12-Game Inaugural Season
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine— Head Coach Garrett Lewellen and the women’s volleyball program prepares for a 12-game schedule this fall to make it a five-team race for the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) crown in 2021.
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine— Head Coach Garrett Lewellen and the women’s volleyball program prepares for a 12-game schedule this fall to make it a five-team race for the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) crown in 2021.
The Lady SeaWolves open their inaugural season on the road with two matches at the host site Northern Essex Community College (Haverhill, Mass.) on Sept. 16. SMCC returns to the HUB Athletics Building for its conference home opener against the Bobcats from Paul Smith’s College on Sept. 18 before playing host to NHTI and a YSCC quad-match on Sept. 19.
SMCC gets back to action the following weekend at Central Maine Community College (CMCC) facing NHTI and CMCC in afternoon meetings ahead of a showdown with the reigning conference champion Herons at Great Bay Community College (GBCC) on Sept. 28.
The Lady SeaWolves welcome CMCC for a single match to round out September and then entertain Paul Smith’s and Great Bay on neutral ground in Concord, N.H. on Oct. 3. SMCC breaks for a week and then doubles up again, this time in Portsmouth, N.H. facing GBCC and NHTI.
The 2021 season will finish with a YSCC Final Four championship tournament hosted by NHTI (Concord, N.H.) on Oct. 16 followed by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Tournament in Virginia Beach spanning Nov. 11-13.
