SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—At the conclusion of the semester, Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Interim Director of Athletics Ethan Wells published the findings of the semi-annual Fall 2025 Athletics Engagement and Academic Report. The report shows student-athlete GPAs and retention rates based on United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) normal progress rules for athletic participation eligibility—a higher threshold than those standards of the College.
KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine – The Southern Maine Community College women’s golf team finished tied for first at the University of New England Invitational on Wednesday, October 8th, at Cape Arundel Golf Club, matching the host Nor’easters with a team score of 257 (+41).
CUMBERLAND, Maine – The Southern Maine Community College women’s golf team earned the team title at the SMCC Invitational on Friday, September 26th, 2025, held at Val Halla Golf Course.

LITCHFIELD, Maine – The Southern Maine Community College women’s golf team competed individually at the University of Maine at Augusta Invitational on Friday, September 19th, 2025, at Meadows Golf Club.
BANGOR, MAINE – The Southern Maine Community College women’s golf team competed individually at the Husson University Invitational on Saturday, September 13th, 2025, at Bangor Municipal Golf Club.
CASCO, Maine – The Southern Maine Community College women’s golf team captured the team title at the John Queenan Memorial Tournament hosted by Saint Joseph’s College of Maine at Point Sebago Golf Resort on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025.
SARANAC LAKE, N.Y. – The Southern Maine Community College golf team placed first at the Paul Smith’s Invitational on Saturday, posting a 306 at Saranac Inn Golf & Country Club.
