SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—2018-19 was the Year of the SeaWolf as the Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) athletics department compiled one of the most dominant year’s in varsity school history and conference affiliation. Here is a look at the numbers based on the six program offerings.

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—At the conclusion of the semester, Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Director of Athletics Matt Richards published the findings of the semi-annual Spring 2019 Athletics Engagement and Academic Report. The report shows student-athlete GPAs and retention rates based on United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) normal progress rules for athletic participation eligibility.

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Athletics Department held its annual awards banquet on Tuesday, May 7 at the Best Western Merry Manor Inn in celebration of its student-athletes and their many successes throughout the 2018-19 academic year and athletic seasons.

CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine— Join us on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 on the links at Purpoodock Golf Club in Cape Elizabeth, Maine for a fun-filled day of golf. It is the mission of SMCC Athletics to continuously better the student-athlete experience, thus all of the proceeds of this 15th Annual SMCC Athletics Golf Tournament, hosted by the Southern Maine Community College Foundation and the SeaWolves Athletic Club, will help fund the athletic program offerings at SMCC.

SMCC Women's Soccer Alum Sydney Choate Directs Anti-Bullying Music Video "Let's Take A Walk"

RICHMOND, Maine—Sydney Choate, SMCC Women's Soccer alum and lead singer of the Maine-based band DaCav, wrote and directed a music video called "Let's Take A Walk." A powerful message about taking a stand against bullying. Sydney was a three-year midfielder for the SeaWolves soccer program from 2013-15 and recorded one goal, six assists, and eight points. In her final season, Sydney won a YSCC conference championship and made a USCAA National Tournament appearance.

(YSCC) -- Ther Yankee Small College Conference is proud to announce the 2018 Fall All-Academic Teams. The YSCC awards All-Academic status to student/athletes that acheive a 3.2GPA or higher. Congratulations to all the hard working student/athelets at all of our member schools. Job well done!

SMCC Women Fall Short In YSCC Championship Game

CONCORD, N.H.—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women’s soccer team defeated the #3 Clippers from University of Maine at Machias in the semi-final game of the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) Final Four playoff tournament to advance to the championship game in an eventual 2-0 loss to the #1 hosts NHTI.

AUBURN, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women’s soccer team won its 10th game of the season in a 3-0 result over the Mustangs from Central Maine Community College (CMCC) on Tuesday, Oct. 16.

SACO, Maine—Dana Sirois is Southern Maine Community College’s (SMCC) female student-athlete spotlight for the month of October— a member of the SeaWolves women’s soccer team.
